In this letter to Madre Tierra, Pachamama (Mother Earth), Macarena Gómez-Barris immerses herself in Earth’s archive of wreckage as a way of exploring what accountability might look like in the present. For Gómez-Barris, dismantling of the ongoing reality of the colonial Anthropocene requires embodied practices and the centering of queer, decolonial, and more-than-human perspectives.
