Jean-Louis Weber

Jean-Louis Weber is a Special Adviser on Economic-Environmental Accounting at the European Environment Agency. He is in charge of the development and the experimental implementation of ecosystem capital accounts by EEA for Europe. Weber represents the EEA in the UN Committee on Economic Environmental Accounting (UNCEEA). Furthermore he is UN expert for the revision of the System of Economic Environmental Accounts (SEEA), volume 2 on ecosystem accounting and UN expert for the revision of the Framework for the development of Environmental Statistics. Jean-Louis Weber had been a statistician in the national accounts department of INSEE, the French national statistical office. He was the Secretary General of the Interministerial Committee on Natural Patrimony Account (1986 to 1992) and Director of programmes and international affairs of the French environmental institute (IFEN) and French national focal point to the EEA (1992-2001). Weber holds a Master in Economics from Paris University.
