Megan S. Black is a curator, editor and facilitator interested in memory culture, the intersections of individual and collective memory, environmentalism, inter-, trans- and transdisciplinarity, and energy flows between disciplines, people, and cultures. After graduating best in the year at the University of Oxford in German Literature and Language, Megan has worked in institutions such the European Commission and Haus der Kulturen der Welt. With the latter she collaborated with artists, scientists and researchers to explore the social, historical and geological consequences of the Anthropocene in Unearthing the Present (2022). Megan also facilitated the transition of the Anthropocene Commons network into a distributed working structure, exploring the potential of networks for collective action to address the complex challenges of a changing world. On top of this, Megan has curated several multidisciplinary projects with a focus on collective creating with bi’bak (Berlin), Krupa Gallery Foundation (Wrocław) and Masterpeace (Tbilisi), amongst others.
