Maps of the key areas of investigation in the ongoing research project The Desert of the Anthropocene, showing locations, cropping areas and industrial sites in the Thar Desert, the villages of Pokhran and Basawa, and around the Indira Gandhi Canal—one of the longest man-made canals in Asia at 650km in length.

The investigation of cropping practices and water systems is in collaboration with water expert and cartographer Dr. Paulina Lopez.
